  1. 1.Introduction

Fermentation tank refers to a device used in industry to carry out microbial fermentation. Its main body is generally a main circle made of stainless steel plate. In the design and processing, attention should be paid to the strict and reasonable structure.

It can withstand steam sterilization, has certain operational flexibility, minimizes internal accessories, strong material and energy transfer performance, and can be adjusted for easy cleaning, reduce pollution, suitable for the production of a variety of products and reduce energy consumption.

2.Working Principle

The fermentation tank uses mechanical stirring to stir the materials to produce axial and radial flow, so that the materials in the tank are well mixed, and the solids in the liquid remain in suspension, which is conducive to full contact between solids and nutrients and convenient nutrient absorption; On the other hand, it can break the bubbles, increase the gas-liquid contact area, improve the mass transfer rate between the gas and liquid, strengthen the oxygen transfer effect and eliminate the foam. At the same time, sterile air is introduced to maintain the oxygen needs of the bacteria to meet the growth and fermentation of aerobic bacteria.

3.Application:

Fermentation tanks are widely used in beverage, chemical, food, dairy, condiments, winemaking, pharmaceutical and other industries to play a role in fermentation.

4.Classification

According to the characteristics of fermenter equipment, it is divided into: mechanical stirring ventilation fermentation tank and non-mechanical stirring ventilation fermenter.

According to the volumetric integration: laboratory fermenters (less than 500L), pilot fermenters (500-5000L), production scale fermenters (more than 5000L).
